What equipment do you get on your surf lesson and why?
This is arguably one of the most common questions we get here at Fistral Beach Surf School. Unlike other schools who charge you extra for the use of their equipment we include it in the price. It is our aim to ensure you have a fun, safe and comfortable time which is why ALL equipment is included, this includes boots, hoods and gloves in the colder months. We field test all our equipment ensuring you are given the highest quality gear possible, if wouldn’t use it nor should you.
Within this blog post we are hoping to detail what equipment you get and why.
Beginner Board (Foamie)
When having a beginner lesson with us your weapon of choice will be the foamie board, the ultimate learner board. These boards are durable, super buoyant and very forgiving. Most surfers would have started off on these foam filled shred sticks due to the fore mentioned reasons. In fact a lot of surfers will ride these when the waves are small as they are just so much fun, which is what it’s all about right?
Key Points:
- Super Buoyant
- Very forgiving
- Easy to paddle
- Lots of fun
