COASTERING SESSION

What is a Coasteer?

Coasteering with Bare Feet Coasteer is a unique and exciting experience. Coasteering gets its name from the activity itself, as it is all about orienteering along the coastline. You will jump, swim, and climb as you explore our beautiful, rugged coastline routes here in Newquay.

Our three-hour sessions are led by fully trained beach lifeguards and Coasteering experts. You don’t need any prior experience other than a bit of confidence in the water. Full training, expert supervision and your key equipment are included in the price.

You must be reasonably fit and be a confident swimmer to take part in this activity. Children under 18 must have someone 18+ accompanying them unless previously agreed by Barefeet Coasteering.

Who is a coasteer suitable for?

  • Participants must be 8 years and above; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Some water confidence, we recommend being able to swim at least 50 meters

  • No prior experience required, Full training, expert supervision and  your key equipment are included.

Whats provided, and what do I need to bring?

  • We supply your helmet, a 5mm winter wetsuit, buoyancy aid, and neoprene shorts.

  • Remember your swimwear and a towel.

  • Bring an old pair of trainers or wetsuit boot (not reef boots).

Intermediate Group Surf Lesson

  • Maximum of 6 people in a group
  • Introducing green waves & new techniques
  • Minimum 12 years old
  • Only available in school holidays

Private Surf Lessons

  • Suitable for all abilities
  • Completely tailored lessons to your ability
  • 2 hours including use of all equipment
  • Maximised learning time due to a low ratio

Beginner Surf Lesson

  • 2-hour group surf lesson
  • learn water knowledge and safety
  • easy step-by-step instructions on the basics
  • Available from 8 years and older

  • YOU MUST  REASONABLY  FIT AND BE A CONFIDENT SWIMMER TO TAKE PART IN THIS ACTIVITY.
  • OUR YOUNGEST AGE IS 8 YEARS OLD – THIS IS DUE TO THE SIZE OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO BE A MINIMUM FIT
  • WE DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN UNDER 18 WITHOUT AN ADULT (18+) ACCOMPANYING THEM. PLEASE GIVE US A CALL TO DISCUSS IF REQUIRED.
  • OUR MINIMUM GROUP SIZE IS 2 PEOPLE. WE DO NOT RUN SESSIONS FOR ONE PERSON. PLEASE CHECK IN WITH US  BEFORE YOU BOOK IF YOU ARE A SINGLE PERSON.
  • WE TAKE PHOTOS OF THE COASTEER SESSIONS, WHICH WE SEND TO YOU AT NO COST. WE MIGHT USE ONE OR TWO SHOTS OR VIDEO’s FOR SOCIAL MEDIA OR ON OUR WEBSITE, SO PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU DO NOT WANT PHOTOS TAKEN ( WE DO NOT USE SHOTS OF CHILDREN ).
